The Mother of All Things

The Mother of All Things. Not the mother of wisdom or knowledge.  Not the mother of all trades.  But, the mother of three precious things.

I love Dr. Seuss and his random nonsense, the way his world is made up of pure imagination.  I love the rhyming words and laughter that comes from reading his books.  In his amazing world of make believe comes some very funny stories and characters, and some quotes to live by. Through my love for Dr. Seuss, when my husband and I had our first two kids, we called them Thing 1 and Thing 2.  We did not expect our third but, when she came along we called her Thing 3, which is how I got my name. The Mother of All Things.  The mother of three precious sweet gifts from God, Thing 1 – Devon, Thing 2 – Andrea, and Thing 3 – Kaitlyn.  Follow me on my journey, my journey with God, as I share what He is doing in my life and revealing to me. I’m humbled and in awe of all He has done and how I have been blessed to have all that I have. My journey is real, it has its ups and downs, joys and trials but, in the end I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

From one of my favorite Biblical characters Joseph in Genesis 50:20 “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good.” NLT My trials are meant to shape to me.  Each one comes with a new lesson and a revelation from my Heavenly Father. I do not pass them all but, I am thankful I serve a God who is forgiving and always grants a second or tenth chance. God is challenging me to write and share my story and so today I start; I step out in faith, letting Him guide me. Not sure where I’m going or what comes next but, I will be faithful and I trust God will provide. My prayer is that at least one heart is touched or one heart feels not so alone as I share my story in a real, vulnerable and honest way. Thank you for coming on this journey with me.

Meet my family. This is us in all of our crazy chaos. Our home is full of laughter and tears but at the end of each day we give it back to Him. My husband Charles, Devon 5, Andrea 2, Kaitlyn 10 mo. (pictured- Devon age 4 ½, Andrea 1 ½, and Kaitlyn 2 mo old). My husband and I are going on 5 yrs of marriage, and I love him even more today. We have learned everything we know by trial and error. We may not get it all right but, with God as the center, we make it and our journey is awesome. I am thankful to my husband for the gift of being able to raise up our own children and grow them up in a Christian home as a stay at home mom.  We will be starting a new journey of home schooling as well. Not sure what that looks like but stepping out in faith. This is us, each day a new adventure and never a dull moment.http://www.godpaiditforward.net/s/cc_images/cache_937287768.jpg?t=1398191221

Devon has one the sweetest hearts you will ever meet. He loves with passion. He has taught me how to be empathetic and softer around the edges. Andrea or as we call her Andi is a spunky as they get. This sweet girl has more pizzazz and sass in her, oh how I love her free spirit. Kaitlyn is a pure joy. She is so calm a sweet and smiles at her world all day long. She is our blessing in disguise.
Just a few quotes to the right that stand out to me and my thoughts about them below. 1) God made each one of us to be us no one can be me and no one can be you so just be YOU! The you God made you to be. 2) God has set us all apart for His divine purpose, not to blend in but stand out and shine His light. 3) You have what it takes, the choices are ours. We make our choices no one else to blame. So make the choices that count and give glory back to God. 4) Be real and vulnerable and speak from your heart. Bless those around you with authenticity. 5) Live for today with tomorrow in mind, leave a legacy worthy of leaving. Do something worthy of being remembered as a Child of Christ.http://www.godpaiditforward.net/s/cc_images/cache_937287719.jpg?t=1398190930
